WRITING SAMPLES
Inspired by the Greek Financial Crisis which was in full swing by 2011, I was curious. There must be some brave souls out there in the Greek Universe who despite all odds have dared to use their (or others’) land to build, grow or develop something, anything? I set out to investigate, and lo and behold I found them!
I started the Dads of Daughters Blog following the #MeToo Movement because I wanted to document the words, wisdom and voices of fathers and how they navigate and build relationships with their daughters. Instead of advice or recommendations, the platform focuses on perspectives from around the world. Fathers’ fears, joys, wishes, regrets, could haves, should haves, and their wholesome humaneness all in one space.
Two years later, it only made sense to start a local version to document the words, wisdom and voices of Greek fathers (Blog in Greek) and the cultural intricacies of raising girls in 21st century Greece.
